Why Use Infrared Thermometers?

Infrared thermometers are perfect for taking temperatures need to be tested from a distance. They provide accurate temperatures without ever having to touch the object you’re measuring and even if your subject is in motion.

Infrared thermometers are great for checking outside temperature, however, they do not calculate the internal temperature of an object. Infrared thermometers are very speedy, typically giving a reading in a snatch of a second, or the time it takes for the thermometer’s processor to perform its calculations. Their speed and relative ease of use have made infrared thermometers crucial public safety tools in the food service industry, manufacturing, HVAC, asphalt & concrete, labs and countless other industrial application

  • The measurements can be taken from an interval for hot surfaces and objects or for food service motivation where items should not be touched or pollute. They are outstanding for surface measurements

  • Measurements can also be taken of moving parts.

  • Infrared thermometers operate well for a variety of applications

  • Memory and advanced measurement functionality is available

  • They are compact, lightweight, and easy to use

  • Infrared thermometers cannot take measurements of gas or liquids

  • Infrared thermometers only measure the surface temperatures and not the internal temperature of food or the other materials, They require adjustments depending on the surface being measured

  • Depending on the model, the accuracy can be slight

  • Specialty meters can be very expensive.

  • Infrared thermometers can be temporarily affected by rapid changes in the ambient temperature,

Infrared sensors offer the same Technology and features as infrared thermometers except they output different signals. They can output thermocouple, voltage, or analog signals to displays or controllers. These sensors are excellent for measuring multiple points in a process and are economical.
